Go Broncos!
I attended a Western Michigan University Alumni Association event on November 10th. It was a reception with our new President - Dr. John Dunn - who was visiting NYC. His wife Linda was in attendance along with members of the WMU senior management staff and alum in the Greater NYC region.
It was a few hours well spent, sharing stories and experiences from campus and to hear from John (as he likes to be called), his vision for the University. He is definitely a keeper and an amazingly warm personality.
I have been in touch with him by email since and this weekend I got a thank you note from him and Linda for attending the event and inviting me to stay with them at the President’s House or the official WMU Guest House during my next trip to Kalamazoo, MI.
Wow! I would have never imagined an invite like that…..in any case I might take them up on the offer in 2008 :)
